☻ - Their darkest thought
Ethan tends to think about mortality a lot. Seeing as he grew up around junkies and addicts on the road, he’s witnessed things first hand. I guess his darkest thought is the fear that he’ll slip into the same sort of life, or that someone he cares about will.
× - A flaw
I guess it’s obvious that he’s a sucker for punishment. Ethan can’t let something go and he has a difficult time detaching himself from things.
* - A memory
Going for a drive in his car for the first time with his dad after the pair of them spent all summer building it. They rocked out to Motley Crue and drove to get McDonald’s, naturally.
ʘ - How they see themselves
Man, where do I start?
In general, Ethan sees himself exactly as he is: a calm, relaxed guy who tries to make the best out of things. He knows that he’s not perfect and that he could never hope to be, but he tries his hardest in everything because that’s simply who he is. He enjoys success and he wants to achieve things, so he pushes himself to be the best at everything. He wants to make people proud and he wants to be successful, so he goes out of his way to live up to the expectations he feels everyone has of him.
Although he’s fairly clean cut, there’s a part of Ethan that’s afraid that he’ll snap one day and make the same mistakes his dad did. It’s on his mind a lot, though he refuses to talk about it or even acknowledge it. It’s forever at the back of his mind though, and he knows he’s on a thin line. He tries to counter that by trying to help people who have already fallen or who are dangerously close to it, hoping that such things will prevent him from going the same way.
He’s not a saint by any means and he knows that he’s done things that people wouldn’t be proud of, but he’s constantly struggling to uphold a good image and stay true to himself. It just gets a little difficult sometimes.
